Richard R. Pixley of Lockport, NY formerly of Newfane, NY entered into rest Friday, December 28, 2007 in Buffalo General Hospital. We lost one of the world's greatest teacher, father, brother, grandfather and friend. His legacy includes touching the souls of over 4,000 students during his 38 years of teaching.
Past President and exempt member of Miller Hose Fire Company and a award winning photographer. Past member of Newfane Jaycees. Served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Born in Delevan, NY December 26, 1933. 74 years old, the son of the late Gordon and Alice Shaw Pixley.
He is survived by his former wives Billie White Pixley and Kathleen Ganz. Proud father of Brad (Roberta) Pixley of Rochester, NY, Tracy Pixley of Burt, NY and Todd Pixley of Newfane, NY. Step father of Allan (Nicole) Ganz and David (Jennifer) Ganz. Brother of Don (Joyce) Pixley of Ocala, FL, Kathleen Baker of Venice, FL and Frances (Allan) Cruickshank of Pittsford, NY. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY MONDAY 2-4pm and TUESDAY 2-6pm where funeral services will be held WEDNESDAY at 11:00am.
Burial will be in Corwin Cemetery, Newfane, NY.
