Funeral services for Catherine "Kay" Przondak, 75, of

Lockport-Olcott Road, a retired art teacher at Newfane Central School, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Ave. Burial will be in Cold Spring Cemetery, Lockport.

The former Catherine Pierson, a native of Conneaut, Ohio, died Monday (Oct. 3, 1994) in Newfane Inter-Community Memorial Hospital.

She was an art teacher for grades 1 through 12 for 37 years before her retirement in 1978 and also was the yearbook adviser at the school for 20 years.

She taught ceramics, oil painting and leather crafts for adult education courses.

A member of the Newfane United Methodist Church, she also was a member of the New York State Retired Teachers Association.

She earned bachelor's degrees in art and English at Edinboro (Pa.) State College and a master's degree from Buffalo State College in 1953.

She was the widow of Walter S., who died in 1984.

Surviving are three brothers, John Pierson of Orangevale, Calif., Robert Pierson of Jamestown, and Milford Pierson of Mexico; and three sisters, Mary Peters of Phoenix, Ariz., Dorothy O'Connell of Erie, Pa., and Evelyn Fortney of Cambridge Springs, Pa. (sherwood)
