Deceased Name: Alice M. Gaskill

Alice McAvoy Gaskill of Venice died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006. She was 90.

She was born in Barker, N.Y., and moved to Venice in 1976. She taught at Newfane Elementary School in New York for more than 30 years. She graduated from Brockport State Teachers College. She was a member of the Audubon Society and the Woman's Club and College Club of Venice. She was a member of St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Newfane and a member of Epiphany Cathedral in Venice.

Survivors include three sons, Gary of Atlanta, Ga., Skip of Irvine, Calif., and Jack of Austin, Texas.

Services: No local services are planned.
